In 2020 the world faces a new kind of situation that this generation never experienced. We all know that it is COVID 19. The world actually is taken aback in this pandemic. Every country, every city, all the airports, all the transports are stopped. People can’t go outside to do any work. Schools, offices, organizations are closed to protect people from coronavirus.

The situation is new, the pandemic is new, and we all are disoriented about what to do. In short, in the beginning, it was a mess. The government of most countries issued lockdown.

At first, the state of people’s minds was not so bad. They stayed at home. But day after day, as the lockdown increased, people’s minds got affected. They were depressed, don’t know what to do, get exhausted in the house. So what to do?

What I do in this lockdown:

At first, nothing changes in my home. Everyone is in the mode of a holiday at home. My daughter was happy that she doesn’t have to go to school. My little boy was delighted that his mom and dad were always by his side to play with him. Everyone was happy. Everything goes smoothly.

But the actual crisis arises after like two months after lockdown. Everyone in the family was too exhausted, too depressed to be at home. Every day the same old routine, the same old house. No freedom, no friends, no hangouts.

But for me, surprisingly, it was not so bad! Do you know why? I discover the inner me in this lockdown. I found myself, what I am capable of, and what is worthy of me?

On regular days I was so busy for my family, for cooking, get my daughter ready for the school, her homework, study, little ones feeding, etc. There was no time for me. No time to relax, no time to chill with friends and family. Every hobby of mine was buried deep down in my mind. I was like a robot doing everyday work.

But now, in this lockdown, I found myself again and, I find that lockdown is not actually that bad what it seems. You can also follow what I do nowadays.

Wake up early in the morning:

Nowadays, I wake up a little earlier in the morning. I go outside and take some fresh air. I do some yoga, some stretching to keep my body and mind healthy. I wake everyone up, and guess what? We all make breakfast. We all eat together, gossip, and laugh our hearts out. It is so refreshing. A good start in the morning keeps me energetic for the whole day.

Now I have time to read:

I give up reading a long back because of my workload at home. I was so tired of working that I didn’t have the energy to read. But now I read every day. It makes me so happy that it makes me smile even when I am in pain.

I pray regularly:

I have found new energy to pray. Every day I hear about death. So much anxiety everywhere. We don’t have medicine to cure of coronavirus. We saw death in a closer view. It makes us worried about our family and loved ones. So I pray regularly. It heals me from worries, tension, negative energy, and I feel spirited.

I learn new things from the internet:

Now I have found the real purpose of the internet. I experiment with new recipes, try to learn some DIY. It is actually fun to do. I try things to do with my whole family. I make mistakes, and we laugh out it.

Take care of myself:

Now I have enough time to care for myself. I take a long bath, do some manicure, pedicure. Try to learn some new herbal recipes to apply to my skin. All chemical products I used before, I threw those away.

Eat healthily:

Do you know what we benefited the most from this lockdown? We can actually say no to junk foods. We learn that we can leave without burgers, ham, pizza, and other unhealthy junk foods that make us fat and less energetic. I learn recipes to cook those items at home. It is healthy and amazingly delicious. Every one of my family loved those. We exclude all cold drinks from our life. Instead of that, we drink lemonade or fruit drinks. Isn’t it super?

The whole world and we are facing a tremendous physical and mental pressure that is new to us. But I found lockdown is not actually that bad what it seems. You can also find out positive sides to it. Just accept the situation and don’t get depressed. Like Newton, “Every action has its equal reaction,” we can say, “In every negativity, we can find positivity”.
